Instruction

General

CCS operates on a semester schedule, late August-December and mid January-May.  Each semester includes 16 weeks of individual lessons along with 14-15 weeks of group classes.  Students have opportunities to perform in two studio recitals each year as well as a part of a weekly informal performance hour in conjunction with Saturday group classes. An annual group class performance takes place in the spring semester and advanced students have additional group performance and outreach opportunities. The summer session is optional and does not include group class.  Substitute teachers will be assigned by CCS for extended summer teacher absence; lesson organization and payment is coordinated directly with the sub.
